From: In vivo and in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of Cryptostegia grandiflora Roxb. ex R. Br. leaves

Inhibitory effect on NO• and PGE2 production by ether (A and C) and dichloromethane (B and D) fractions from Cryptostegia grandiflora on RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with LPS (10 μg/mL) for 24 h. 1400 W (10 μM) and Rofecoxib (10 μM) were employed as positive controls. Nitrite concentration in the culture medium was measured with the Griess reagent. PGE2 production was determined using a competitive ELISA kit (R&D Systems, USA). Experiments were carried out in triplicate and results show the mean ± S.E.M. (n = 12). **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, compared with LPS treated group.
